NECA sponsors the annual NECA Show renowned as the industry’s premiere event for electrical contractors, which features cutting-edge technologies, highlights new trends, and provides courses to help contractors broaden their knowledge and skill. The Show takes place in conjunction with the NECA National Convention… but non-members are invited to the show.

Working for a brighter future for the industry, NECA is a co-sponsor of the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (NJATC) for the electrical industry, which trains more than 25,000 electrical apprentices and is the sole source of significant in-service training for journeyman electricians.

The Chapter also puts on a variety of educational seminars on a per-request basis.  Listed below are the topics these seminars review.

Estimating
Estimating techniques such as long hand, scheduling, material expediting, productivity, and pricing.  Use of the computer as an estimating tool.

Effective Supervision
Motivation of the labor force.  Communications, both written and verbal.  How to maximize productivity and maintain harmony on the job.

OSHA Training
Site specific training as needed, such as confined space.  10 and 30 hour training also available.

Continuing Education
The Chapter offers approved courses for the 24 hour industry related requirements along with the 9 hour code and 1 hour state law to renew electrical contractors licenses.

Courses As Needed
The Chapter and the Management Training Institute hold a variety of training courses upon request or as needed, including Project Management, Tele Date – Voice, Data and Video, Construction Claims, and Schedule Acceleration.
